Golf – the Costa del Sol has hundreds of golf courses but the nearest ones to San Antonio are Antequera Golf and Guadelhorce Golf Club, in the direction of Malaga.
Walking and Hiking – For keen walkers and nature lovers the nearby El Torcal National Park is a must. El Torcal is a large, plateau topped mountain of eroded grey limestone which originated on the seabed, 150 million years ago. Its landscape of unusual rock formations is considered to be one of the most impressive anywhere in the world and has ofter been used in science fiction films.
There are a number of walking routes starting from the visitor centre which take you to natural limestone sculptures and give you magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. There are numerous species of flora found in the park, including wild orchids, irises and peonies and it’s possible to see eagles, falcons, sparrow hawks and Griffon vultures circling overhead.
Riding – there is a local stable in Almogia that will take you out into the countryside, we can book for you if you are interested.
